Company History

Murphy Construction and Tower Service is located 15 miles southeast of Des Moines in Hartford, Iowa. Larry Murphy is the president and founded the company in 1965 as a residential construction company. In 1991, the company's focus changed to the cellular tower industry, with its first cellular project sites located in the difficult terrain of the western states. Today the company focuses on a regional market including Iowa and its bordering states. Larry Murphy's two sons, Clyde and Patrick, and his daughter, Lin, are active employees and officers. As a family owned business, Murphy Construction and Tower Service takes great pride in its quality of work and impeccable safety record. It has a strong rating with Dunn and Bradstreet and is fully insured and bonded. With a wide network of subcontractors both within and outside of Iowa, the company strives to be the premier tower service company in the region.
